I said something stupid on Facebook and the person who it was directed at called me and told me that the police were informed about the matter. I was asked to take the post down which I did immediately. The person I talked to thanked me and is trying to get everything called off. The person you threatened does not have ultimate control in the matter but may have weight in it. Most likely what you could face is a misdemeanor charge of threatening someone but I am not a lawyer.

I doubt the police were actually called. If it was an empty threat that you will probably get terroristic threatening as the most severe. Usually it is a Protection Order and Probation.


I hope you take this as a lesson and cross your fingers that they are just trying to scare you.
Nothing, they blew smoke up your rear. Now if you had posted definitive threats against Obama or some other person, they would have already been at your house.
