Can anyone give me any information on a career on Computer Networking?

Im interested in going back to school for Computer Networking and get certified in A+, CCNA, etc. and want to know how the job market looks for someone having this background. How is the entry level salary for someone with no experience, and how does it progress? Ive seen statistics, but I was wondering if someone that has actually done it could respond and give me some real-world answers.

Thank you for your time. Can anyone give me any information on a career on Computer Networking?
I stay away from the comptia certs, they are a lot easier then other cert and not very money friendly. CCNA is by far the most prestigious of the networking certs so that is a good starting point.

Networking is one of the fastest growing fields in IT especially security and wireless.

The entry salary will definitely depend on where you work, places such as CA, NY have a lot higher salaries than other states. But from what i heard from a friend here who was an intern at cisco, they got paid around 20 something an hour. But from wat i read on job reports a lot of networking admins get paid between 50k-80k and even more if there senior admins. Can anyone give me any information on a career on Computer Networking?
