Get connected with other folks at http://www.linkedin.com and also consider searching on ';business communities'; for others.
Consider getting involved with Business Forums and raise the awareness there about your website.
Consider writing articles about business communities and other topics that will show you are an expert on this topic. These can then be distributed through article submission websites.
Consider writing a news release and distribute it through the Internent news network with sites like http://www.prweb.com or http://www.prleap.com.
This merely a starting point and it will require time and manual labor to get through this. There really isn't a single quick fix solution as you are competing against other social communities.

You can promote your website at www.TheBIZSociety.com. Any business can advertise their services for free in the directory, create their own profile, and also start your own networking groups in your area. It will take a lot of work though. Good Luck

You will have to post about many different topics.
You will have to join other networks and invite experienced marketers to invite members for you. You can pay them per lead (I would pay about $1 per active lead)

go sign up on other social network websites like facebook, so you can promote your site too. it takes time and you got lots posting to do :) Make sure your site is different from others.
Make some promotional at the related fields... to ask ppl check out your site.
