Ok, I am attempting to network my ps3 over a wifi connection for the sole purpose of streaming media to the console. I don't have a broadband internet connection, so I'm not trying to get the ps3 ';online'; so to speak. Is there a way to get the console networked without having an active internet connection? If so, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks. How to network a PS3 on wifi?
No, you need a high speed internet connection to go online with the PS3, if you don't have one then maybe you can connect to a wireless signal from one of your neighbors (if their network is unsecured) and them not finding out! but I guess if you have a router connected to your PC then you might be able to stream, but I'm not sure, my advice is to try it out and see if it works. How to network a PS3 on wifi?
You could get a WLAN router and connect it to that and then connect your laptop/notebook to it and stream from PC TO PS3, and if you do that here's a good app. But if you want to go beyond your house you obviously need internet. But you really don't need internet to start the party.
PS: Your saying you don`t have internet but how did you post this question??? hmmm.
